As it appears, #StoneCarvedTweets is a project that takes submitted Tweets and reinterprets them as a series of stone carved tablets.

This is perhaps a tad absurd, but it highlights the relative in/significance of Tweeting by mixing-up the medium; from transient and ephemeral to nigh immortal. Is anything yet Tweeted worth this much effort? Discuss.

The project is by the design collective Autobahn (Jeroen Breen, Maarten Dullemeijer and Rob Stolte, all grads from the Utrecht School of Arts in the Netherlands) and the engraver Richard Wending. It took place as part of the ABC Urban Arts Festival in Amsterdam this past June.
