The info is reprinted from http://dentoneer.com/category/news/dcta/. The Dentoneer seems to be a hip new site with lots of info about what's happening in Denton.
The Denton County Transportation Authority (DCTA) announced its fees for students who attend the University of North Texas on Monday. A semester’s worth of travel on the A-Line would cost UNT students $250 for expanded regional service (access to Dallas and Fort Worth systems) and $175 for local service only (Carrollton to Denton). Those numbers may seem a bit high. But once you start looking at the distance between Carrollton and Denton, the average size of a gas tank in the U.S., the average miles per gallon for a vehicle in the U.S. and the cost per gallon for gas, you begin to see that the DCTA is offering UNT students an absurd deal.
You can read the rest of the article on your own. This is a smart move.
